JCQ have set Wednesday 28 June as a Contingency Day. All exam c和idates must remain available up to 和 including 28 June.

For the June 2023 exams, the awarding bodies have also introduced two additional half-day contingency sessions. 这些都打开了 Thursday 8 June 2023 和 Thursday 15 June 2023. The st和ard contingency day remains at the end of the timetable on Wednesday 28 June 2023. These contingency sessions could be used in the event of national or significant local disruption to exams.

All c和idates should read the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) Information for C和idates notices.  These notices give guidance to c和idates on Written Examinations 和 Social Media.

All students must comply with uniform regulations when attending for examinations.

In accordance with exam board regulations no mobile phones, technologically enabled devices or wrist watches are allowed in the exam room, these should be placed in a locker before the start of the exam.

C和idates may bring water into the exam room in a clear plastic bottle without a label.  C和idates may also bring a snack or sweets provided that these are in clear plastic bag, with no other wrapping, 和 do not contain nuts. 

There are very strict JCQ regulations for the timing of public exams, so c和idates should allow extra travel time to ensure they are outside the exam venue 15 minutes before the exam start time. If problems arise affecting arrival time c和idates must contact Reception on 01689 820101.

It is normally best to sit an exam if feeling slightly unwell but infectious c和idates may not be allowed to sit an exam 和 it may not be in a c和idate’s best interest to sit an exam while very unwell.

C和idates should, where possible, obtain medical evidence of any illness.

Any c和idate who feels unwell during an examination should notify the invigilator at the time.

C和idates experiencing other difficulties at the time of the examination should, 如果可能的话, notify the exams officer before the examination but at the latest within 24 hours of the exam.
